EARTH MASK (2018)
Earth Mask was a design project based on my interactions with nature over a road trip across the United States where I visited twenty one states in a total of three weeks. I wanted to create a mask that reflected my feelings towards nature being both beautiful and terrifying. I created a dome covered in moss with a face hidden in the front. The inside of the dome was filled with broken mirrors and lights that moved in a disco ball like style. Each material used was selected to reflect a different aspect of nature. The front of my mask had a face hidden in the moss as well to show how we see ourselves in our environment.
